Join us Wednesday, April 23, at 11:00 AM in the St. Thomas University Chapel for a special Mass in honour of Pope Francis.

It is with sadness that we receive the news of the passing of Pope Francis at age 88. Pope Francis served the Church through his ceaseless calls for Christians to see Jesus Himself in the poor, the forgotten, the lonely, the imprisoned, and the weak. His great personal humility and his own gestures of compassion towards those in need were an inspiration to Christians as well as to those who did not share his Christian faith. The tireless efforts of Pope Francis in calling for peace, and enjoining Christians to pray for peace at the various occasions when war broke out during his 12-year pontificate were a witness to Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. We pray that Pope Francis who served God ardently and who bore witness to God’s love of humanity now be at rest in his Father’s house.
